Abstract

The contemporary landscape of medical education is undergoing a significant transformation driven by technological integration. This perspective examines the efforts of National Taiwan University in conceptualizing "Future Classrooms" which seamlessly blend technology and pedagogy. Enhanced by interactive displays, adaptive interiors, and synchronous learning cameras, these classrooms offer rich learning environments. However, a discernible gap exists in their use by clinical educators. Drawing on the frameworks of Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK), the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB), and the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT), we explore strategies to bridge this gap. This underscores the need for a two-pronged approach- pedagogical consultations and technical assistance-to bolster educators' competence. This article accentuates the alignment of innovative technologies with foundational pedagogical principles to augment medical instruction. In conclusion, we highlight the importance of comprehensive faculty training, ensuring that medical educators can harness the potential of advanced technological tools to the fullest extent.
