Abstract
Although residents are still in training, they play very important roles in the clinical care team as they are the frontline caregivers and also undertake teaching tasks. This article explores the key concepts, literature, and practical implementation of the Resident-as-Teacher (RaT) model. Additionally, we invite a chief resident and a senior medical student to share their experiences and reflections from their perspectives. This article may serve as a learner-centered reference for the planning and promotion of RaT programs and curricula.
