Abstract
Background: The education and practice of health professional education (HPE) can challenge an individual's wellbeing. Such challenges often originate during preparation programs and can persist and/or fester as students become practitioners. If left unaddressed, these challenges may impact health professionals' quality of life and the community they serve at large. Aims: This paper aims to off er strategies and practical tips for administrators, educators, and students to ensure nurturing and positive learning environments that prioritize health professionals' wellbeing. Description: A review of health professional teaching and learning theories, in addition to contemporary literature on students' wellbeing, emphasizes a continuous process of self-reflection, examining assumptions, teaching practices, centering students, and involving them in the design and implementation of wellbeing support strategies. Conclusions: The twelve tips provided in this paper can be considered by all HPE programs to adapt in accordance with their own context and students' needs.
